    In this talk we shared thoughts and experiences on approaches to cloud adoption which seek to minimise the impact of it being tomorrow’s legacy problem.

    We took a look at considerations around cloud strategy, cloud technology and what business activity the cloud is ideally positioned to support.

    Michael Fordham – UK Platform Capability Lead, BJSS

    Michael has worked in Platform for over 15 years and as a Cloud Consultant he has worked with enterprises in multiple industries on award winning cloud projects.

    Michael is currently the UK Platform Capability Lead for BJSS where he is also responsible for ensuring BJSS deliver market leading delivery services across cloud computing.

    Darren Earnshaw – Programme Director, Barclays

    Darren is a Programme Director in Barclays leading on the technology development of the next generation of consumer banking solutions. Having been with Barclays for 15 years in a number of roles, Darren was previously the Barclays CIO for UK Lending.

    Based in Barclays’ UK Technology Campus near Manchester, Darren has a focus on driving the Bank’s innovation agenda and has developed a number of collaborations with the regional tech community – universities, public sector, investors and other corporates. Darren is also an advisor and mentor to a number of StartUps (EdTech & FinTech).

    He is also a Trustee for Age UK Cheshire.
