Software Engineering Apprenticeship

Exciting opportunities await!

Not sure what to do next? Fancy a career where you can combine practical, hands-on learning with working on some of the UK’s most exciting technical projects? Want to gain the experience, skills, and qualifications you’ll need?

Who is BJSS?

BJSS is an award-winning innovative tech consultancy - a team of creative problem solvers. Since 1993 we’ve been finding better, more sustainable ways to solve complex technology problems for some of the world’s leading organisations, and delivered solutions that millions of people use every day.

Operating from 26 locations across the world, we bring together teams of creative experts with diverse backgrounds and experiences, who enjoy working and learning in our collaborative and open culture and are committed to world-class delivery.

About the role

As an Apprentice Engineer, you’ll work in a fast moving, Agile environment, within multi-disciplinary teams, delivering advanced technology solution to a range of clients across the globe.

You’ll get to work with some of the brightest and best in the industry on some of the most exciting digital programmes around. Not only will this experience allow you to develop your skills, but you’ll also learn new techniques and refine your interests.

We want you to make the most of your potential, so to help you continue your learning, we’ll help you achieve career-enhancing professional and industry certifications.

The Apprenticeship Programme

The programme is delivered by one of our Apprenticeship providers and is due to start in September, and runs for up to 24 months (normally 18).

You will undertake supported blocks of technical training while you undertake paid full-time work with us, with a regular technical training timetable throughout the year both internally and with your training provider.

What’s in it for you?

As well as technical training, you will also attend additional masterclasses, hacks, networking, and industry conferences events.

You will be supported by a dedicated mentor and the programme learning and skills coach, who will meet with you and your mentor or line manager regularly through your apprenticeship to support you through your journey and ensure you are progressing.

On successful completion of the programme, you will have achieved a Level 4 apprenticeship qualification which is nationally, and industry recognised, and is equivalent to a HNC.

Where will I work?

You’ll need to live within a commutable distance of your home office. Due to the nature of our work, you may be delivering projects on client sites across the UK, although we work hard to ensure no one has an exceptional commute.
