Engineering Insights

Since 1993 we’ve been finding better ways to solve complex problems with technology for some of the world’s largest organisations, and we’d like to share some of the things we’ve learned along the way.

At heart, BJSS is a team of problem solvers

Spearheading the Engineering Insights series is our UK CTO, Carl Austin. Carl has a natural passion for all things technology, a specialism in data and distributed systems and a small(ish) but unique shoe collection. An animal lover, Carl has a unique menagerie including two chaotic Bengal cats and a Bull Snake and selects holidays based on which wildlife he will get to see.

In this section of our site, you’ll read technical stories, thoughts and opinions directly from the coalface, written and edited by our technical staff. Marketing lingo has been banned and conversation is encouraged (through our social channels, links below).
