BJSS’ success as a consultancy is a direct result of its people. When you put together a diverse set of delivery-minded people and support their growth, you end up with a vibe which promotes innovation and collaboration allowing them to tackle a large range of projects together and really shine. This event discussed how BJSS focuses on supporting and growing its people. It’s an approach to consultancy we shared through conversations with our people. It featured personal views and experiences, followed by a panel discussion with some live Q&A around what it's really like to work at BJSS.

    Sarah Tulip

    Sarah is Head of Digital Transformation at BJSS and leads their global client portfolio in change and growth. She previously led Digital for EY across the North and is the Digital Ambassador for the City of Leeds. She is known also for championing less heard voices across digital through her organisation WILD Digital.

    Tim Pepper

    Tim has been a software engineer at BJSS for three years, coming from a primarily core Java background. He's worked on a variety of projects and is currently tech lead on an Azure-hosted, Vue.js project for a major retailer.

    He's a squad lead and Diversity & Inclusion champion for BJSS Leeds. He's passionate about technology and making the tech industry inclusive to people from all backgrounds.

    Daisy Timms

    Daisy started her career with BJSS five years ago as a graduate via the BJSS Academy. Since joining, she’s played the roles of software engineer, technical lead and most recently platform engineer.

    She loves muddling through complex technical challenges, collaborative teamwork and cats interrupting zoom calls.

    Kane Hellewell

    Kane has been a Business Analyst at BJSS for two and a bit years. Whilst at BJSS, he’s worked as a Business and Systems Analyst, interviewed people in other countries, become a line manager, and discovered he likes helping others achieve their career goals.

    Most of all, he likes finding the right solution for something, and is interested in promoting and exploring how the technology industry should move towards environmental (“green”) non-functional requirements.

    Lorraine Olowosuko

    Lorraine has been a Business Analyst at BJSS for 3 years plus, and previously worked in the healthcare sector for about a decade. She relishes the variety her role brings and enjoys engaging with different stakeholders to bring solutions to their business needs.

    With her passion for youth development, Lorraine has been actively involved in a number of BJSS’ CSR activities focused on encouraging young people, particularly females, to get into the tech world.
