BJSS was recognised for the second consecutive time in the London Stock Exchange report: 1000 Companies to Inspire Britain.
The report is a celebration of the UK’s fastest-growing and most dynamic small and medium sized businesses. To be included, BJSS successfully demonstrated consistent revenue growth and significantly outperformed its industry peers.
The LSE worked with the research company, DueDil, to identify the list of the 1000 companies. Companies had to meet certain criteria: be UK-registered and active; have revenues between £6 million and £250 million, based on latest Companies House filings and have a minimum of three years in operation.
Having identified a long list of eligible companies, they were then separated them into Standard Classification (SIC) grouping before the average compound annual growth rate (CAGR) in percentage (based on turnover growth) was computed for each SIC sector over a four-year period and within each SIC sector. Companies were then ranked by their individual CAGR percentage. This identified the companies that had most outperformed their sector averages.
This unique methodology revealed a community of UK businesses richer and more varied than the London Stock Exchange believes have ever been identified in any other exercise of this type.
