Intranet Literary Title System

 

An international publisher required the consolidation of their titles into a central corporate database. The senior management has recognised the benefit of a system where data such as titles, publishing schedules, authors and financial arrangements could be available for complex data analysis and reporting. Data is managed via a central intranet application secured to field level through a comprehensive bespoke security mechanism. The intranet application also provides an essential hub for the dataflow between the existing IT systems giving the company a single point of access for their bibliographic data.

 

BJSS were asked to design and develop the application within an environment of rapidly changing requirements where success of the project depended on the acceptance of each and every short phase.

 

Staff demonstrated the ability to enhance the functionality of the system, support Live users and manage cross-divisional requirements under constant time pressure with a increasingly high level of quality.
