Mobile Credit Card Application
A major document processing company approached BJSS to produce a system to run on a hand help device (the O2 XDAII). It would allow remote collectors to input credit card application details and submit them over GPRS to a central system where they could be validated during the application (e.g. on-line credit checking, postal address lookup etc). This greatly reduced the amount of incorrect data that was obtained via the traditional method (form filling), and consequently increased the number of real applications with considerably reduced processing costs. The system is to be used at major events such as football matches, exhibitions etc.
In addition to the PDA application, BJSS also developed a central server system that kept a track of all events, collectors, and applications. It also provided reports and graphs of system usage - all accessible via a secure Internet connection.
- Transparent fail-over from GPRS to GSM.
- Printing via a wireless connection on to predefined forms.
- On-the-fly downloads of credit-card application information for various types of cards.
- Real-time credit-checking via GPRS.
- Real-time address lookup via GPRS.
- Back-end server integration (PAF/bank details verification/credit checking etc).
