What Are We Looking For?

We welcome personal approaches from final year students, new graduates and graduates with up to 2 years’ experience looking for their next role.
 
The first step for people looking to join the Graduate Programme is to confirm that you qualify by answering the following questions:

• Are you legally able to work in the UK?
• Do you hold, or expect to gain, a 2.1 or higher in Computer Science or Software Engineering?
• Are you a proficient software developer with either C# .NET, SQL Server and/or Java, ORACLE skills?
• Are you passionate about technology and software development?
• Are you a confident, articulate and literate team player?
• Can you demonstrate a keen interest in financial markets?
• Do you want to work in a consulting environment, potentially on-site in London from time-to-time and be challenged daily to learn new skills?

The Programme

The BJSS Graduate Programme is unique, in that you will work as part of our delivery team on projects for some of the world's most prestigious institutions, largely in the Financial Markets sector.  Candidates who successfully complete this comprehensive programme will have gained unprecedented real-world learning as part of project teams developing sophisticated trading systems for London City-based organisations. 
 
How it works

Every successful recruit to the programme will work with a BJSS Manager to devise a programme that will ensure they are constantly learning and being challenged, and that meets the needs of both BJSS and our clients business, so every programme will be different.  Every recruit will be a full time BJSS employee, and expected to work hard and dedicate some of their own time to learning.  You'll be paid a competitive salary and enjoy working in a stimulating, no nonsense, environment with some of the best people in the business.
 
Working on BJSS development projects, you'll learn to put your software development and design skills to work within an Enterprise Agile environment.  Throughout the project you'll be mentored and coached by senior BJSS staff and also learn more about how our customers businesses operate.  You will undertake roles across the whole software development lifecycle, designed to develop your technical and business skills to become a fully rounded Software Engineer delivering high quality software.
 
During the course of the programme you'll receive regular performance and financial reviews and will have the opportunity to drive your career in a technically challenging and exciting environment.

Graduate Recruitment Process

Opportunities to join the programme are limited and the recruitment process is designed to select only the best.
 
The process is in 2 stages:

• Candidates qualifying for consideration will be invited to undertake a telephone technical test to assess their technical suitability for a role in BJSS.
• Suitable candidates will be invited to a BJSS open day or a meeting at a convenient careers fair where they will meet with BJSS technical staff for further discussions about themselves and roles in BJSS.

Candidates successfully completing this process may be invited to meet with our Service Delivery Manager prior to potentially being invited to join the programme.
