Co-Founder and ChairmanI have over 30 years’ experience of enterprise software delivery gained from engagements in a wide range of industry sectors. After a career in IT development and technical architecture, I co-founded BJSS with Andrew Vincent in 1993 as its Technical Director and Chief Architect. As co-founder and Chairman of BJSS, I am responsible for ensuring the effective operation of the BJSS Board.
Co-FounderFollowing a number of senior management roles in IT consultancy, I co-founded BJSS with Mark Hunter in 1993 as its Managing Director. Mark and I set out to build an IT delivery organisation to realise our shared vision of how IT should be delivered. Emphasising technical excellence, a passionate culture of service and a flexible, straightforward approach, we developed the business from its initial client base of hardware manufacturers into a specialism in financial markets. Since then we’ve overseen BJSS’ expansion across the UK and into the US, and broadening our offering to a wider range of industries.
Managing DirectorI’m responsible for the strategic direction of the company together with the day-to-day running of the business. I started my career as an academic obtaining a PhD in Computer Science from the University of London and undertaking post-doctoral research in Computer Vision at Yale University. Over the last 20 years I have worked in the IT supply sector, in the UK and US, for a number of industries including financial markets, automotive, manufacturing, energy, logistics, and retail. While living in the US, I was held-up at gunpoint by a gang who wanted my bike. They didn’t get the bike, but nothing has proved as scary since!
Head of Client Services - Southern UKA delivery guy at heart and a member of the Board of Directors, my focus is on ensuring our people have everything they need to deliver exceptional assignments for our clients in the South of the UK. I’m also responsible for delivery assurance, commercial, account management and business development activities. I began my career in banking and consulting with the “Big 4”. After a spell with a niche programme delivery consultancy, I co-founded, grew and eventually sold a technology house before joining BJSS – a company I’d admired for many years. When not working you will find me at home ‘relaxing’ with my wife and two little girls, who keep me more than occupied. Any spare time is taken up with a variety of sporting endeavours – admittedly these days more spectating than participating – early morning rapid-fire 18 holes of golf excepted.
Head of Client Services - Northern UKI started my career in 1990 as a software developer and progressed through many roles, including managing the South African division of one of the world’s largest Independent Software Consultancy firms. Outside of BJSS I really enjoy haring around a track on my motorbike and when my kids give me some time, running around a squash court like a madman!
