Workflow - Cheque Processing

 

This project is a component of a cheque processing system designed for high-street banks. Within the system, cheque-processing services are implemented in Java and interface to a site database. BJSS developed a Web User Interface to their existing core product. The application allows operators to view cheque images and data over an intranet and apply rules to send cheque items down different work streams to other parts of the system. Images and rules are stored in an Informix database. Microsoft IIS is used as the web server. A combination of both client (web browser) and server (web server) side processing was used to achieve an elegant solution despite the complicated business rule structure required by the client.
