Essential
We're looking for people with several years experience of structured technical testing gained in a distributed environment within the IT industry in a delivery-focussed environment.
BJSS Technical Test roles are hands-on, requiring excellent technical and interpersonal skills. Candidates must also be able to show:
- A proven track record of successful delivery of technical test work packages
- Knowledge of structured technical testing strategies and methods applied in a distributed environment
- Experience of enterprise level automation and test management tools (Mercury, Compuware, Rational, Empirix)
- Knowledge of use of UNIX and Windows environments for development and/or testing
- Ability to communicate effectively and liaise on a technical or co-ordination level
- Experience of Testing mission-critical Financial/Trading Systems and message-based transactional systems
Desirable
In addition to the experience listed above, we're particularly interested in hearing from candidates demonstrating some or all of the following:
- Establishment of projects using test management tools (Traceability, Planning, Defect management approach etc)
- Experience of development using VBA, shell/Perl scripting
- Use of Rational Clearcase or other enterprise change management products
- Experience of deploying and configuring Distributed Test Environments
- Awareness of contemporary thought leadership in domains such as Agile delivery, continuous or risk-based testing
- Experience of testing mission-critical Financial/Trading Systems and message based transactional systems
- Familiarity with associated functions such as service management, core development functions and operations
