Essential
We're looking for people with at least 5 years technical test leadership experience within the IT industry in a delivery-focussed environment.
BJSS Test Managers are hands-on people, with excellent technical, leadership and interpersonal skills, and candidates must be able to show:
- A proven track record of successful delivery of technical test work packages
- Knowledge of structured technical testing strategies and methods applied in a distributed environment
- Ability to take responsibility for areas of a test plan and work with others to execute that plan
- Experience of testing mission-critical Financial/Trading Systems and message-based transactional systems
- Coaching and mentoring skills
Desirable
In addition to the experience listed above, we're particularly interested in hearing from candidates demonstrating some or all of the following:
- Experience of managing external teams, cross-functional teams or outsourced functions
- Establishment of projects using test management tools (Traceability, Planning, Defect management approaches etc.)
- Use of effort estimation techniques and test project commercial management
- Experience of configuration, release and problem management tools
- Awareness of contemporary approaches such as Agile delivery, continuous or risk-based testing
- Familiarity with associated functions such as service management, core development functions and operations
