Ten years working with Financial Information Systems Provider

During 1995 BJSS worked with a major computer manufacturer to design and develop one of Europe's first Order Driven Equity and Bond trading systems. The project was very successful and the application developed was then sold on as toolkit and package to other order driven exchanges in Asia.

During 1996 a leading UK based global information provider wanted to develop similar systems for the much larger and soon to be automated London Stock Exchange (SETS programme 1997).

From a personal recommendation the client contacted BJSS. Following a beauty parade of both technology and supplier capability BJSS was selected due to its considerable area experience and proven track record.

The client contracted BJSS to advise on, design and develop a high performance and highly scalable Feeds and Market Information system that would be capable of serving 2000 sessions with 16 concurrent market views providing information on the highly liquid FTSE 250 stocks. The non-functional and functional requirements were challenging.

BJSS developed the system in record time. During the development of the feeds system the client contracted BJSS to take on the development of a project which was struggling to deliver the Front Office Trading platform to be used on SETS. Within 8 months BJSS had delivered what is still today the client's prime offering in transactional trading and full market order book display on London equity markets.

These projects proved BJSS' credentials as a provider of scalable solutions, delivered on-time and to budget. Leading on from these projects BJSS has delivered over 10 major projects for this client. These range from desktop based sophisticated options pricing applications, consultancy work for global projects through to further trading related feed and intranet and Internet delivered information systems and content permissioning systems. Recent developments from 2001 include upgrades to the Front Office Trading Platform, and in 2002-2003 the replacement of an existing communications system crucial to the client's service offering.

The relationship continues. Today BJSS provide on-going support of products that have been developed for this client over a relationship lasting some 7 years.
