Technical Architects
  
The role
A BJSS Technical Architect provides technical leadership and direction to development teams and takes responsibility for the quality and timeliness of deliveries to the project.
 
The role also includes responsibility for:
  • Planning
  • Risk & issue management
  • Status reporting
  • Setting and controlling delivery standards
  • People management of the team
The role involves assignments that are software development focused (i.e. hands on development) and assignments that are business/upwardly focused, for example defining strategic direction in enterprise environments and representation of IT projects to senior IT management and business teams. BJSS' TAs are also frequently called upon to provide technical and strategic analysis.
 
Personal Attributes
To be successful as a TA in BJSS you'll need to be passionate about software development and eager to acquire new skills within a fast-paced project environment.  With finely honed communication skills, you'll be equally at home working with software developers and 'C-level' business stakeholders, and totally focused on delivery.
