Essential
We're looking for people with a good Software Engineering or Computer Science degree and some experience of enterprise level software development, ideally within a consultancy environment.
For junior roles, we're looking for 2 years software development experience. For more senior roles we'd expect a minimum of 5 years experience, with at least 2 years delivering enterprise level solutions.
Senior roles also require that you are comfortable acting as a 'lead developer' and presenting proposals to Senior Management within blue-chip organisations.
In addition to detailed knowledge and experience of developing software within the .Net and/orJEE environments, candidates with a strong object-oriented background gained in one or more major blue chip deliveries will be preferred.
Desirable
In addition to the experience listed above, we're particularly interested in hearing from candidates demonstrating some or all of the following:
- Practical experience of iterative/Agile development methodologies (SCRUM, XP, DSDM, RUP etc.)
- Experience of Middleware and messaging technologies
- Strong UML design skills
- Passion for software development and the application of technology for business benefit
- Experience within the financial markets
- Coaching and mentoring skills
